Helmed by Farhan Akhtar, the movie was an official remake of the 1978, Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Don’. SRK starred in two memorable roles - that of a drug kingpin Mark Donald, aka Don, and Vijay, a simpleton with a flair for mimicry. SRK did complete justice to both roles. While Vijay’s innocence and zest for life will make you smile and also root for him, Don’s callousness and disregard for human life, while being completely suave creates a strange sense of attraction and repulsion at the same time.

    ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007)

This Farah Khan directorial remains one of the most iconic films Bollywood has ever produced. Unapologetically funny and brazenly kitschy, yet having a strong emotional core, this movie was a celebration of all things we love about Bollywood - larger-than-life characters, over-the-top moments, reincarnation tropes - the whole shebang! SRK played two roles - that of a junior artist named Om Prakash Makhija, who longs to climb the ranks of the tinsel town, all while struggling to make ends meet as an extra on sets, and Om Kapoor, a rich, spoilt starkid!

This was SRK’s final movie before a 5-year hiatus. Also starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles, ‘Fan’ was a delightful ‘meta’ film that was a critique as well as a tribute to Khan’s insane stardom. It featured Khan in two roles - as Aryan Khanna, a superstar, and Gaurav Chandna, his stalkerish fan.
