ISRO-made GPS System NavIC would be present in iPhone 15: MoS IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar

Union Minister of State for Electronics and Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar while speaking to ANI on September 14 said that after the launch of iPhone 15 by Apple, its availability in India would be on the same day as in New York and London. He added that the second milestone is that NavIC GPS Satellite system developed by ISRO would be present in the smartphone. He said, “The world's largest company in technology Apple has launched its new iPhone 15. During this launch, India is achieving two milestones. First, the availability of the iPhone 15 in India would be on the same day as the availability of it in New York and London...And the second is that the NavIC GPS satellite system developed by ISRO would be present in the iPhone 15.” Tech giant Apple on September 12 unveiled the much-awaited iPhone 15 at its ‘Wonderlust’ event in Apple Park, Cupertino headquarters. The smartphone was launched in India, New York and London on September 14.
