After making the audience wait for eons, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga finally dropped the official teaser of the upcoming Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’.

Taking to Twitter, the ‘Kabir Singh’ director shared the teaser and wrote, “Check it out guys!”.

The post soon went viral within minutes of being shared, gaining 219K views and over 8000 likes. Many netizens went gaga over Kapoor’s badass avatar.

“Ranbir in mass look …” gushed an X user.

A fan predicted that this could go on to be the biggest hit of the star’s career. “Biggest Blockbuster of Ranbir Kapoor 's Career is here,” reads the comment.

    ‘Animal’: A Dysfunctional Family Noir

Although the teaser gave little away, it did hint that the film is going to be a deliciously dark, gritty noir about a dysfunctional family of gangsters. Ranbir Kapoor’s character is shown to be in an abusive relationship with his father (played by a menacing Anil Kapoor). One of the captions “Experience a father-son bond carved in blood,” indicates an atypical father-son bond involving physical and emotional abuse. It is also hinted that Kapoor’s character may have a fatal ending.

The trailer amassed 2.1 million views within 2 hours of release on YouTube.

Aside from Ranbir and Anil Kapoor, the movie also stars South heartthrob Rashmika Mandanna, ‘Bulbbul’ girl Tripti Dimri and Bobby Deol. The movie will hit the theatres on December 1.
