    Delhi: 45 lakh tonnes of garbage will be cleared from Bhalswa landfill site by May 2024: CM Kejriwal

    Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on September 30 along with Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi visited the Bhalswa Landfill site and held a meeting with officials. After visiting the Bhalswa landfill site, CM Kejriwal said, "The work is going on a fast pace. So far, 18 lakh tonnes of garbage have been cleared. The agency which is currently working has to complete the target of (clearing) 30 lakh tones (of garbage) by May next year, but with the speed at which the work is being done, it is expected that instead of 30 lakh tonnes it will be completed up to 45 lakh tonnes..."
