    TVS Motor sales rise 6 pc in Sep

    TVS Motor Company announced that its total sales in September rose by 6 percent compared to the same month last year, reaching 402,553 units. The company also stated that their overall two-wheeler sales for the previous month increased by 7 percent year-on-year, totaling 386,955 units, compared to 361,729 units in September 2022.

    Reduce GST on entry-level two-wheelers: FADA to Centre

    The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (Fada) has called on the government to reduce the goods and services tax (GST) rate on entry-level two-wheelers from 28% to 18%. Fada president Manish Raj Singhania stated that although the two-wheeler segment has seen growth, it is still 20% below pre-pandemic levels. Singhania believes that reducing the GST rate would not only be a policy adjustment but also a socio-economic catalyst, as this segment constitutes 75% of total auto sales volume.
