Bihar to recruit over 69,000 teachers in schools, cabinet gives nod
The Bihar cabinet has approved the recruitment of 69,692 teachers in state-run schools. They have also approved a 100% increase in the monthly honorarium for around 30,000 'Siksha Sewaks' and 10,000 'Vikas Mitras'. The recruitment will be conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission once the ongoing recruitment of 1.70 lakh teachers is completed. The 'Vikas Mitras' work on implementing government schemes in rural areas, while the 'Siksha Sewaks' are involved in education.

More than five crore job cards under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) were cancelled in 2022-23, 247 per cent more than the number of deletions in 2021-22, the Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday. In a written reply, Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh said in 2021-22, 1,49,51,247 MGNREGA job cards were deleted, while in 2022-23, 5,18,91,168 job cards were cancelled.

Over 3,500 constables to be recruited in Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service
The Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service will recruit 3,578 police constables to improve law and order in the state. The Chief Minister has given approval to the proposal. Additionally, the government has agreed to create new posts in 36 schools, where 45 new subjects will be added, with one subject in 27 schools and two in nine schools. For each subject, one post of school lecturer will be created, totaling 45 new positions.

The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court had stayed the recruitment process, because of which there was a delay in hiring, he said. "The recruitment process for teachers will begin now and a government resolution to this effect will be issued," Kesarkar said.
