    Watch: Vande Bharat train gets clean in 14 minutes for next trip under ‘14 Minute Miracle’ initiative

    As a part of ‘Swachatha Abiyan’, the Central Government came up with a ‘14 Minute Miracle’ cleanup initiative. The initiative was being taken in Vande Bharat Express at Chennai’s Egmore and Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station. Indian Railways adopted this scheme for quality cleaning of Vande Bharat trains rakes at 'other end terminal stations'. Termed as ‘14 Minute Miracle’ scheme formally launched at the Delhi Cantt Railway Station on Oct 01. A process that once consumed 3-4 hours will now be executed within a mere 15 minutes, top sources of Ministry of Railways informed ANI. As per sources, now each coach of the Vande Bharat train will be cleaned by a dedicated team of four cleaning staff. Multiple mock drills have further fine-tuned their skills, ensuring a seamless execution of the rapid cleaning operation. This new leap in efficiency is expected to redefine passenger expectations and enhance the overall railway travel experience.

    The development gains significance as concerns have been raised about the viability of the JV in light of fresh US sanctions against senior officials associated with the Russian partners in this joint venture with India's Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). As per the agreement with the national transporter, Kinet Railway Solutions will manufacture and maintain 120 Vande Bharat passenger sleeper train sets and also provide maintenance services for 35 years, said a government official.

    Railways to run 18 special night trains on last day of Ganpati immersion in Mumbai

    Mumbai's suburban railway network will operate 18 special train services on the night of Anant Chaturdashi to facilitate the return of devotees after the Ganapati festival. The Central Railway will run 10 suburban special trains connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) with Kalyan, Thane, and Belapur stations. The Western Railway will offer eight suburban special services between Churchgate and Virar stations.

    Train services between Chennai and Tirupati will be suspended from September 28 to October 12 due to track upgrades at Renigunta yard. Additionally, 12 express trains will be cancelled in October due to interlocking procedures and the commissioning of the third line at Bapatla station. Passengers are advised to check with railway authorities for alternative travel arrangements and stay updated on any further developments related to these cancellations and diversions.
